In the UK, the majority of loft conversions can be constructed without planning permission as long as the work meets certain criteria laid out by The Town and Country Planning Act 1990. Generally speaking, most loft conversions can be built under the guidance of 'permitted development' rights. This means that projects such as raising the roof or adding windows or dormer extensions do not require formal permission from your local authority, this is something we will do for you at World of Lofts with your local council before starting a project.

From start to finish we were very well looked after in the entire build process. As a family of 4 we were bursting at the seams in our bungalow, the only thing we regret is having not called World of Lofts sooner. The team have 3 very key people Dave, Sam and Megan. They are always on hand to email/call and nothing is ever a problem. They helped us to get the most out of our build so our space was maximised to 2 bedrooms and a bathroom (extra understairs storage). They also worked very hard during December whilst the weather was very cold. Would not hesitate to recommend to friends or family.
I cannot recommend world of lofts enough , the brilliant team worked tirelessly to create our beautiful new loft space ,in a professional and tidy manor in next to no time, and to the quote they promised . From start to finish they went above and beyond to build and finish our new dream bedroom and we could not be more happy ! Just completed our lift conversion today The team were very helpful and informative through out the build and on hand to address any queries We are very happy with our new room which has got the most out of the space, especially with the stairs into the loft. Very tidy through out the works We would highly recommend
