Every project is designed around you, to get the most usable space out of your roof.

Thinking of moving just to get an extra room? A loft conversion is usually the cheaper, less stressful option – and it adds value to the home you’ve already got.

Loft conversions in Dorset and Hampshire

Most UK loft conversions can be built without planning permission under ‘permitted development’ rights, as long as the work meets the criteria in the Town and Country Planning Act 1990. That covers most Velux and many dormer conversions. Where your BCP or Dorset council does need to be involved, we deal with them for you before work starts.

Whether you want an extra bedroom, an office or more storage, we build loft conversions across Ringwood, Lymington, Ferndown, Verwood and beyond. These are the three types we’re asked about most.

Mansard

A traditional choice. The roofline is extended outwards with a shallow and a steep slope, giving far more headroom inside. Usually finished with dormer windows to bring in natural light.

Gable

The roofline is built up and out at the end of the house to form a gable. It adds a lot of floor space and allows large windows for light and ventilation.

Hip-to-gable

One of the most popular options. The sloping hipped end is built up into a vertical gable, creating plenty of volume – ideal for a large bedroom or an en-suite.
